A Year of Clarity: Are you at peace with knowing, what you don't know about yourself!

A Year of Clarity:
Are you at peace with knowing, what you don't know about yourself!

My theme for this year was to find clarity in my total being. That included my career field, personal interest, short and long term goals; social encounters with others, purpose in life etc... you know what's crazy, I went into this journey looking for specific results and received a  completely different outcome. For example, I asked God to help me find clarity in all the things I had going on at that moment; and to let it be his will to grant those things for me. little did I know, some of the things I thought I wanted, I really didn't want or need. The path I was on, that I familiar with, the only path I knew; was a disinterest.

As I reflected on it all, I had to think to myself how is this true and why is it true? As I thought about it, I said to myself, because your not the same young lady you were yesterday; with that being said, everything and everybody around you had to adjust to your new self, way of thinking, journey, interest, everything that makes you, you! You'll be surprised the undiscovered potential you have within you; and how the lack of knowledge of not knowing yourself, has allowed you a new Perspective.

When we choose to find clarity, we can't choose what we want to see and obtain from  the results. We can't alter what we feel, or what's preordained in life. Allot of us suffer from lack of clarity, and that's Ok. So we go! we go on a quest for something we're unsure of. Clarity is suppose to allow us to see things clearly;in a way we can understand what we need, love, what makes us liberated, what makes us utilize our purpose in this world, and so on.

I challenge you to see where clarity takes you. Ask yourself, what part represents you, is your past state of mind, cohesive with your current state of mind? Are you at peace with knowing, what you don't know about yourself ? When it is all set is and done make a mental note, reflect on it and take  action; even if it wasn't the original plan. Always stay true to yourself and what you believe in; and don't be afraid to search for clarity and or accept what comes from it.

Taking Time for Yourself

Taking Time for Yourself

"You have to find what's therapeutic for you, because sometimes we wake up and we may not feel the same way we felt yesterday" -Kendrick Lamar
Life itself and the loads of things that come along with it, such as circumstances, struggles, obstacles, trials and tribulations etc.. The people we encounter can be overwhelming as well.  Some people look at taking losses as being a bad thing. I view it as God's way of closing certain doors that were not meant for you. When God made the decision to close those doors, he already had other plans to open up another one. We can not receive the blessings in life God has prepared for us, if we don't open our minds to a new perspective.

The minds is constantly racing about important matters; not so important matters and even things we have no control over. Sometimes there are people feeding us information that will help us grow and or keep us down. What's important to you might not be as important to others. We may also do things to keep ourselves down, if we are not careful when negativity comes barging into our lives. Take care of you first spiritually, mentally and emotionally. When you embrace that kind of energy, you'll find yourself being a voice not only for yourself but uplifting others around you; with wisdom, knowledge and self control.
Take care of yourself, take time for yourself alone, love yourself, find a hobby, find your peace that sets you free... and just do the things that matter to you; and I allow everything to come into perspective.

Forgiveness is for you

Forgiveness is for You!!!

I am sure we have all seen this movie more than once in our lives; and if you have not you should definitely check it out. "He Got Game" is a great movie; I know some of you are thinking that it is just a movie. I find that this was a great representation for the purpose of this blog post, which is forgiveness. Moral of the story:The absent father returns home and forced to deal with his past sins and the people he hurt; in which the son is also put in the position to either forgive his father or hold on to the past. When someone does something to hurt us, we naturally put up our guards. That is totally okay because we are human. We are allowed to feel sad, grieve or do whatever it is that helps us cope with betrayal. I am a living witness to attest, amazing things happen when you choose to forgive.

Forgiveness challenges us to go against the grain. In some cases sometimes we don't really want to forgive others, but when you really think about it; forgiving that person is definitely serving you. I hear some people say, some things are just unforgiveable. I respect that people have their own perspective on forgiveness; but honestly, those are the images people create for themselves inside of their minds, based off what they are currently feeling about being betrayed. We control our own thoughts and if we think we can't forgive then we won't.

We have all experienced a time in our lives where we did not want to forgive someone. I've come to a conclusion that there is a deeper meaning behind forgiveness and what it can do for you. The real question is, are you open to it? Before anything you have to first forgive yourself for beating yourself up and for ignoring the signs. Who's to say when we will get hurt? That is a theory that will always remain unpredictable.

For myself being hurt by others forced me to have a stronger mindset, a better perspective on life,  who I am; how I respond to situations I had complete control over and what I am capable of doing about it. The worst thing you can do is  cling to old feelings or hatred towards others. I am not suggesting that a memory in the past will completely be erased from your thoughts. I am simply saying, when you find the will to forgive, it will grant you a peace of mind, a better feeling about yourself or that person etc... You have to choose to look at things and people in a way that will help you heal, grow; and make the world around you more positive. "Don't put off  tomorrow, what you can do today, because tomorrow is never promised".

Forgive her, Forgive him, forgive All......
