Stop Dragging Things On:
Don't feel bad about being on a new level
Its finally 2017! What a way to start the new year with a fresh start. When we think of the New Year we automatically start making plans and goals for ourselves. It is time for us to start acting on our actions and stop dragging things on! Although I am totally guilty of this myself sometimes, I can't stress this enough. Today is a new day and if something is over, whether it's a friendship, relationship, Job, argument, dating matter, guilty conscious, pain, closure, procrastination, bitterness; you get the point. Just be done with it so you can move on from it. We program our minds to believe, the things we hold on to are necessary for us to continue on with our lives. False! Allowing yourself to move from certain people and things that do not serve you or your purpose in life; does not make you weak, it shows that you are growing. So if you have things or people you know you need to get rid of, you can start now.
When you are at a turning point in your life where you are growing mentally and spiritually, you can not avoid the inevitable. your mindset will only level up to or tolerate certain people and things. Its not to say that you are better then anyone, its only to say you are progressing; and all the people and things that are holding you back are at a stand still not on your level. You will eventually arrive at a point in your life, where you will have no choice but to physically leave a situation; because mentally you are already gone. Don't feel bad about being on a new level, let those people rise up to your level. God grants you the desire to move into a place of peace and humbled mindset. The next time you are dragging things on from one level to the next, always remember a situation is only a waste of time if you didn't learn anything from it.
Sometimes some of us need a reality check, to remind us of who we are and who we know we can become. When you drag things on, it slows you down from your destination. I personally experienced a phase in my life where I thought, some parts of my life depended on the company of certain people and things. I thought I needed those people and things, not necessarily because I was happy with them; but because I didn't have the level of ability to see better things in a new or better way. The fact I allowed myself to stand in that phase proves I was weak; and the minute I decided I was miserable and didn't feel like I had peace, was the very moment I knew in my heart I wanted to grow beyond the familiarity.
I wanted to know me, what I could have, what I could do, what I could be, how I could be a blessing to others, how I could create and bring about positive impact into my community and world; But I knew I couldn't do that with the same kind of mentality that didn't embrace change. Take right now and think about what it is that you want and need right now? Are your wants and needs congruent in helping you grow from one level to the next? Meditate on these questions, then move forward from there.

Quote of The Day!
You shouldn't base your entire life/destiny, off one ruff patch in your life; you still have the good times in the past and your entire life of good to look forward to." -Pastor E.L Branch
