Being Present

Being Present

There is nothing like being and living in the present moment. I realized real peace comes from a standpoint that is mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally present. I will admit it feels so good to be, live, think and experience those precious moments for yourself. I know a little something about living in the past, I have been and lived there many times. Now, I am at a point in my life where I just don't like living in the past; But sometimes I find myself unconsciously revisiting it when I talk about things that happened a minute ago.Crazy right!

The real truth is, some of us are too comfortable there. In a place where we are not growing; Denying ourselves of any possibilities of growth and opportunities. Are we helping or enabling our freedom to be all we can be, by living in the past? Even when we truly know the past is no longer, why do we  continue to keep the past relevant? Because we are human and we have adapted to human tendencies; That has caused us to experience instant feelings, in response to our fears, circumstances, weaknesses and lack of faith.

We all deserve to be present! In that same dance we also have a choice; to keep doing the same ole dance or try something new, different and out of your comfort zone. T.D jakes once said, "Faith is not in the familiar, its in the unknown". When we know what to expect its no surprise, but when we just step out there willing to risk it all; is when we start living and being present. What is being present? Being present is confident, no worries, fearless, courageous, focused, joyful, happy, great energy and so much more.

Sometimes its okay to feel what you feel when you are feeling it. Don't apologize for doing what you feel either, just be you and the things that make you, you. Today try to stay within the present moment. Concentrate on where you are, where you would like to be, how it makes you feel; and what you need to do to be and stay present.
