Deciding What You Deserve

Deciding What You Deserve

There are two kinds of people in this world. The people who are affected by what happens to them; and the ones who choose not to let their circumstances consume them. Which one are you? I don't know about you but I desire to become the kind of person; that no matter what happens to me I will continue to press forward even when I am mentally drained. I've decided to be Okay and make the best of whatever life throws at me. I've had my fair share of both worlds, but we all know only the strongest survive. Rather we choose weakness or strength in the moment, we demonstrate daily our ability to overcome tribulation. Sometimes we consciously know when something is consuming our energy; Somehow we choose to ignore our better judgement and allow our emotions to lead us.

Everything we deserve in life is absolutely up to us! When are you going to decide that you deserve to be treated better by a man who deserves you, as much as you deserve him? When are you going to start choosing yourself and stop trying to please everyone? When will you start to believe that you are enough just the way you are? When are you going to start doing the things that matter to you and stop seeking validation from others? When will you start working towards your purpose in life? When will you start trusting yourself and your gifts?

The moment you start making yourself a priority, is the moment you stop treating yourself like an option. How can you really be an option to yourself and place everyone and everything else priority over you? I never understood that frame of reference, but it is one to be persistent LOL. When we decide what we deserve in life, as well as who. We become the kind of person who receives exactly what we deserve. By choosing to look at life from a different perspective, we consciously and unconsciously invite deserving things and people into our lives.
