Out with the Old, In with the New!

Let's be honest, we can all use a little pick me up from this year. Maybe you experienced the loss of a loved one, struggled spiritually, financially, mentally and or emotionally etc..... I don't know your story, I just know we all can relate, considering similar circumstances. Sometimes we lose ourselves in the process of trying to figure out this thing called life. We place too much emphasis on the wrong things in life, in which causes us to stress, worry and feel inadequate etc... Going into the new year, I want to say this, "Its not the end of the world, if things don't go as planned". Its going to be okay! If God allows for you a new day, year, that is only confirmation for you to make things right in every aspect of your life. So let us end out this year with great intentions; to release the old and receive the new. By the end of this post, I challenge you to act on this journey; hoping this experience is a good one for you.

1. Declutter, Declutter, Declutter!

That's right! In order to make room for the new that's to come into your life, you have to get rid of the old.
  • Start by shredding those old irrelevant documents.
  • Donate old clothes and shoes you don't wear.
  • Organize your belongings (clothes, shoes, documents etc...)
  • Clean your home, car, work space (from top to bottom)
  • Get rid of toxic people with negative vibes.

2. Set those Goals!

What's the plan? Always have a thorough breakdown of your goals for the year, 3yrs, 5yrs...
  • First things first, start by writing it down.
As for......

Personal Goals:
  • What can you do to better yourself as an individual, in every aspect of your life? Don't hold back. (Remember there is always room to grow and propel forward!)

Financial Goals:
  • What are some ways you can invest in yourself and your ideas, save money for a rainy day, and or traveling....
  • Commit to a budget and stick with it! (Budget your finances, down to your monthly reoccurring expenses, temporary expenses, and even treating yourself )

Mental Goals :
  • Feed your mental!
  • Try to stay positive in your day, by promoting self growth, positive vibes, speaking words of positive affirmations into your life. (Remember, that it is easiest to think negatively about yourself , a person, place or thing ; than it is to think positive about it.)

Emotional Goals:

Someone once said, "The trees are about to show us how lovely it is,  to let the dead things go."-Unknown
  • Stay out of your feelings!
  • Decide on the things and people in your life that serves you and your purpose.
  • Let it go, whatever that is for you.

Educational Goals:

If you plan on finishing, continuing your education, going back to school; or seeking a New career field...
  • Do the things that matter to you first. (Make sure this is something you want to do for you)
  • Do your research. (make sure you cover all your bases, when making important decisions about your future)
  • Make a plan for the school year and get ready to execute those goals.

3. Cleanse the Soul!

Yes I saved the best for last!
  • Make sure you feed your spirit.
  • Pray for what your heart desires.
  • uplift others.
  • Read your word (Bible), Inspirational Blogs, Daily Devotional etc...
  • Manifest your heart desires and cast out all negative vibes.

Everything you do from this point on, make your days on this earth account for something. Try to find a balance in your life that will work for you.

Hope that you all are doing well, see you soon!

Comfort Zones: Moving on to better things!

Comfort Zones: Moving on to better things!

Purpose, moving forward, clarity, perseverance, understanding, growth, healing, positivity, patience happiness etc... In order to truly experience the value in any of these, you have to leave the current space you are in behind. That place is home to you, more like a safety net. One that you know you can depend on and it will never fail you. A place you look to as your confidant. The only place in the world you know and believe will fulfill your every need right now; and that is, your confront zone.

Comfort zones! To be honest it is not really a bad place at first, but going forward considering all aspects of life; it just does not fit into your lifestyle. Comfort zones are not suppose to be a thing. What I mean by thing is, it should not become priority in your life. You are suppose to get to a place of peace in your life, in everything you are trying to accomplish at that moment in time; Fulfill the purpose it is meant to fulfil and move on to the next level in your life. The moment you decide to stay in that place a little while longer, is where you have allowed yourself to be accustomed to comfort zones.

Drake once said in one of his songs, "My ex ask me where you moving?" I said on to better things." -Drake That is how we must treat certain things and people in our lives that that no longer serve us, or our purpose in life. The only way to truly experience the things you want out of life, you have to do things you have never done. Take bold risk and sometimes risk it all if you have to. Comfort zones unconsciously say to you, "Hey stop living and growing in every way that you possibly can." Don't you dare!

Allow yourself to live for once in your life without any restraints, even if its only for a second. You have to be able to do that with both feet moving forward. Yes, you will be uncomfortable for some time, but it gets better, you'll see! Always remember comfort zones are only place holders, designed to keep us safe for a little while; to get us comfortable and use to the idea of something worth having. Its something to have, just for the meantime; until new levels start evolving in your life. Its time to start moving on to better things, to experience all the good God has prepared before us.
